Irony

Every fail has something ironic in it. Irony has a large meaning, we will only add the ones related to our research.

Situational Irony - The irony that most people think of. A difference between what you expect to happen (in a story, for example) and what actually happens.

I think the song that describes situational irony the most is Alanis Morisette - Ironic

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought... it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
"Well isn't this nice..."
And isn't it ironic... don't you think

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic...don't you think
A little too ironic...and, yeah, I really do think...

More{ Murphy's law #3 }

November 11, 2009 05:15pm

Murphy's law is an epigram that is typically stated as: "If anything can go wrong, it will". It is used as either a purely sarcastic musing that things always go wrong

One of his most-well-known anecdotes is, for sure:

'I never had a slice of bread,
Particularly large and wide,
That did not fall upon the floor,
And always on the buttered side'

But also, there are some that will never get old. Lets take, for example, the most comment subject: love. What do you think, Murphy?

  • All the good ones are taken.
  • If the person isn't taken, there's a reason.
  • The nicer someone is, the farther away (s)he is from you.
  • Brains x Beauty x Availability = Constant.
    This constant is always zero.
  • The amount of love someone feels for you is inversely proportional to how much you love them.

How does Murphy's law help you learn the art of failure?

This is simple, be pessimistic. Murphy's law gives you even more reasons to be pessimistic so, why  bother your brain finding your own? Learn to see the empty side of the glass.

How could such a highlighted theme run around without having a site dedicated to it?

FAIL Blog is a humorous site that contains various examples of pictures and videos of someone (or something) failing at something they are supposed to do, or displaying blatant stupidity or incompetence, captioned with the word "Fail", or "Epic Fail"

It has been founded in January 2008 and has grown rapidly so that, in the same year, it has won 2 Webby Awards for People's Voice in Humor and Weird.

Brought to you by iZone  and IGG Blogs.

Failure, a common word we normally associate with insuccess...but can YOU fail? Do you need talent to fail? Of course...everything requires talent. This article will show you how to successfully fail, starting with, obviously, the basics.

Failure

*an act or instance of failing or proving unsuccessful; lack of success

*refers to the state or  condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective, and may be viewed as the opposite of success

*Urban Dictionary mentioned the word Fail as an interjection used in awkward situations:

You actually did that? FAIL.

Now that we know what failure is, we can continue our research and get more insight into the art of failure.

The main highlight of this article will, of course, be Epic Fail.

We have all heard this phrase, more or less often, but we did. What does it mean and when can you consider yourself an Epic fail?

The point where you can't do anything right. At this time your existence is pointless. You are a failure and will always be a failure. That is the complete definition of epic fail :D

How to reach that performance?

1. Fail at every task you are given in life.

2. Failure to commit suicide.

3 .Failed second attempt to commit suicide using same method.

So, mainly, if you fail at everything in life, don't try to commit suicide, you might fail at that too.
